American based Senegalese RnB artist Akon has offered to perform for free during the Jamuhuri day celebrations next month. It seems the president and the star are becoming quit close friends.
Two week ago during an interview on google hangouts with NTV, he said that they were still discussing the issue but sources close to the president and the committee organizing the celebrations have confirmed he will be coming.
Though the source did not confirm the venue and the program, they revealed that he would be performing on the 12th of December at the after party to be held at the Safaricom stadium, Kasarani.
Rumors that the RnB artiste will be performing at the Jamuhuri day celebrations have stared thing up here in Kenya as some artistes are complaining that the event organizers are favoring international artistes while ignoring local ones.
