Credible sources within CORD told The Kenyan DAILY POST that the former PM has bankrolled some MCAs in Central and Rift Valley to collect signatures from the public for him to meet his 5 million mark at a price.
This was also corroborated by TNA officials in Central and Meru regions.
Speaking yesterday, Desmus Kithinji, a TNA official from Meru, noted that the former PM had poured money in the region and is bribing voters with sh500 through MCAs to sign up for the referendum.
“We have evidence that CORD is bankrolling some MCAs to collect signatures from the public. They are giving voters sh500 for their signatures,” said Kithinji.
This comes even as Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee has warned its members not to support Raila Odinga’s referendum lest they will be expelled from their respective parties.
