Daytona Beach police responded to a 911 call shortly after 1 am from a father saying he had just beaten a man. The father had walked in on the man sexually assaulting his 11-year-old son.
“I just walked in on a grown man molesting …,” the upset father told a dispatcher. “And I got him in a bloody puddle for you officer.”
The alleged child molester, Raymond Frolander, 18, was found unconscious on the living room floor with multiple bruises on his face, bleeding from the mouth when police arrived.
Frolander is the next door neighbor of the victim. He was left in charge of taking care of the boy.
The boy told detectives that he was playing video games in the apartment with friends. After they left, Frolander allegedly took the boy into the back room of the apartment and started to molest him. While the attack was happening, the father walked in.
“He stood up and his pants were around his ankles, and nothing else needed to be said,” the father told the dispatcher. “I did whatever I got a right to do, except I didn’t kill him.”
During the forensic interview with the young victim, he revealed that the abuse began at the age of 8 years old.
After being released from the hospital for his wounds, Frolander admitted on record that he had a sexual relationship with the victim and stated, “I’m guilty.”
Frolander was charged with sexual battery by an 18-year-old on a victim under 12 and is being held without bail.
