In Luke 6: 38 the Bible says “Give and it
will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running
over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be
measured back to you.”
This seems to be the scripture words
President Uhuru Kenyatta is using to help the needy Kenyans who request his
help.
On Monday, a woman from Kakamega sent
an SMS to President Uhuru Kenyatta appealing for help after his relative’s body
was detained at a city mortuary over a sh 3.5 million
bill.
After a series of successful Harambees, Ms Anita Lipesa, the dead
woman’s sister, sent a text message to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday afternoon.
To her surprise, Mr Kenyatta called
back 30 minutes later on his personal line.
“I was reluctant to send the SMS, but
I couldn’t believe it when he called me….. I confirmed from the voice that it
was indeed the President,” said Lipesa on Tuesday
Ms Lipesa said the Head of State
asked her for her sister’s details and then told her…
“Anita, go to the hospital and pick
up your sister’s body. Everything is ok. I will offset the bill,” Uhuru told
the woman who almost fainted after speaking with the President.
Lipesa said she has tried all Western
Kenya leaders to help her but they failed to respond to her calls.
She said most leaders from Western
Kenya were saying they don’t have money including Kakamega Governor, Wycliffe
Oparanya and Senator, Boni Khalalwe.
